Tune in on Wednesday, March 9 to see the Vancouver Canucks host the Montreal Canadiens in an all-Canadian affair at Rogers Arena. Both teams are having a tough year and are in the bottom end of their respective divisions; however, Montreal has experienced somewhat of a resurgence of late, following the dismissal of coach Dominique Ducharme, who was replaced with interim head coach Martin St. Louis. Puck drop is at 10:30 PM ET.

The Canadiens (15-34-7) are on a healthy 7-1 streak since February 17. It’s the first time they’ve experienced back-to-back wins all season, just a year after shocking the hockey world by making it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. They’ve been without key players, including netminder Carey Price, but it’s not just the defensive end where they’re struggling, as they have the second-least productive offense in the league. Fans will be eager to see if the Habs can carry their recent momentum into the final game of their all-Canadian road trip.
The Canucks (28-23-6) are sixth in the Pacific and playing their first home game following a four-game road trip that concluded with a 6-4 victory against the Maple Leafs. After entering the third period down 4-3, the Canucks scored three goals for the win. On Wednesday, we’re expecting a matchup between Montreal backup netminder Samuel Montembeault and Vancouver starter Thatcher Demko, but we’re still awaiting confirmation.
