CFL Week 6 Report: Examining Team Records and Betting Performance

Six weeks into the Canadian Football League (CFL) season, each team has showcased its strengths and weaknesses, resulting in a diverse range of records and betting outcomes. Whether you're a hardcore CFL fan or a sports bettor looking for insights, let's take a deep dive into how each team is faring in terms of their straight-up (SU), against the spread (ATS), and over/under (O/U) results.

Toronto Argonauts: The Unbeatable

The Argonauts are the only undefeated team through six weeks, holding a perfect 4-0 record both overall and ATS. The Argos have also shown a strong over tendency, with their games going over the total three times and under once. They're undefeated both at home (2-0) and on the road (2-0), indicating a strong all-around performance.

British Columbia Lions: A Strong Contender

Following closely behind the Argonauts, the Lions have posted a 4-1 record, both SU and ATS. However, they lean towards the under, with three of their five games falling below the total. The Lions have remained undefeated at home, mirroring the Argos' strong performance.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Consistent Performers

The Blue Bombers are 4-2 SU and ATS, indicating they are generally living up to expectations set by the betting markets. Their O/U record stands balanced at 3-3, indicating no particular trend. Home and away records are identical, signaling a consistent team regardless of the venue.

Saskatchewan Roughriders: Better on the Road

With a 3-2 SU record, the Roughriders are performing well overall. However, they have struggled ATS, going 2-3. Interestingly, they have a flawless 2-0 SU and ATS record on the road, while their home performance leaves room for improvement.

Montreal Alouettes & Hamilton Tigercats: Similar Struggles

Both the Alouettes and Tigercats share a 2-3 SU and ATS record, but they both favor the over in terms of totals. However, the Alouettes have fared better on the road, going 1-1 ATS and over, while the Tigercats have struggled away from home, posting a 1-2 ATS and O/U record.

Ottawa Red Blacks: Home Sweet Home

The Red Blacks, like the Alouettes and Tigercats, hold a 2-3 record SU and ATS. They've struggled with totals, going under four times in five games. However, they shine at home, going 2-1 SU and ATS, but falter on the road without a single win.

Calgary Stampeders: Needing Home Comfort

The Stampeders match their counterparts with a 2-3 SU and ATS record but have been performing better on the road. Their home record is a disappointing 0-2 SU and ATS. Totals have been equally distributed for Calgary, with no discernible trend.

Edmonton Elks: Searching for a Win

The Elks are off to a rough start with a 0-6 SU record, though they've managed a single ATS win. The under has prevailed in four of their six games. Home or away, the Elks are still looking for their first victory, marking a challenging beginning to their season.

This overview gives us a comprehensive snapshot of the season so far, but remember, in football, as in any sport, nothing is certain. As we move into the next weeks of the CFL season, we can only speculate how these early trends might evolve. Keep your eyes on the teams and stay tuned for more updates and insights.
