General Abbreviations:

  • SU (Straight Up): Team's win/loss record without considering the point spread.
  • ATS (Against the Spread): Team's record when factoring in the betting line.
  • O/U (Over/Under): The record of games going over or under the total points set by sportsbooks.
  • P/M (L3G) (Point Margin – Last 3 Games): Average point differential in the team’s last 3 games.
  • S.O.S (Strength of Schedule): Measures the difficulty of a team’s past opponents.
  • PVI-SOS (Parity Value – Strength of Schedule): Indicates a team’s form and schedule strength, classified as Bullish, Neutral, or Bearish.
  • MSV (Market Spread Value): The difference between the projected and actual betting spread, helping identify value plays.
  • PVI (Performance Value Index): A team’s recent momentum, classified as Bullish, Neutral, or Bearish.

Key Betting Indicators:

  • C.O.W (Chances of Winning): Probability percentage of a team winning the game.
  • C.O.C (Chances of Covering): Probability percentage of a team covering the point spread.
  • C.O.G.O (Chances of Game Going Over): Probability percentage of the total going over the line.
  • L.O.A (Law of Average): Used to determine if a team is due for a regression or improvement based on recent trends.

Team & Game Metrics:

  • Forecast: Projected score for each team based on analytical models.
  • Side Edges: How many key statistical edges a team holds over their opponent.
  • Total Edges: The number of statistical edges favoring the Over or Under.
